This bar was very easy to install on my wall (Actulally and old chimney) with the included hardware. I used a masonary bit in my drill and, poof. it was up. Holds the knives with a strong magnetic grip with no fears of them coming off with out a strong tug.

It has a strong enough magnet but the mechanism by which it is attached to the wall is of a sloppy and feeble design. There is a significant risk of the strip falling off which could not only damage expensive knives but cause severe injury.

Cons:
-Actual measurement of the magnetic strip is just a little bit more than 13 inches. You may wish it is 6 inches longer. It can comfortably hold around 5 knives side by side
-I have this only for 3 months. Will it rust? It did not say it is stainless steel.

Easy to install (however, no instructions) and very strong magnets. Looks professional and holds 6+ knives and scissors. I would definitely buy this again and felt satisfied with the price (especially compared to some other products).
