A decent paring knife; a little on the flimsy side, but worth the inexpensive price.

I was very excited about the Victorinox knives after reading all the rave reviews, but must say I am quite disappointed. This little paring knife is basically useless. Both the handle and the blade are completely cheap and flimsy. Also, the size is just useless – my fault, should have researched it more, but figured it was a traditional pairing knife size. I’d recommend going to Target and picking up some of the J.A. Henckels knives (the 2pc Fine Edge Santoku set is only $20 and totally worth it) – which I did after unfortunately wasting money on these knives first…

It’s sharp, small, light, and has just the right amount of flex. What more could you want in a paring knife? It doesn’t hurt that Cook’s Illustrated recommends it.

Very sharp. Would like the blade to be another 1/4 long but it works fine.
Slices anything. Can easily thin slice like the chefs on TV.

I bought the paring knife after I read great reviews of the chef knife and bought that first. I now have three of the paring, and 4 other models. These knives are without doubt, the best value you will find in a knife. This knife is razor sharp from the first time you use it, to many months later. It will be one of your favorites because it is light and sharp. It stays sharp for a very long time. Don’t ask me how they do it, but all of their knives are that sharp, and just as good. Once you try this paring knife, you will want them all. What do you have to lose? It’s not like this knife cost and arm and a leg. Keep your limbs, buy this knife.
