I got this knife as my first pocket knife. The rush assisted opening is very fast and easy to use. The blade came very sharp and clean. I did not sharpen it since the day of purchase which was last year and the blade is still fairly sharp. The blade length is a descentsize for me. I use it to open boxes and carry it when I go hiking.

I work in a warehouse and have to cut rope, plastic wrap, open cardboard boxes, etc. The safety lock takes a minute to learn how to open one handed but, after it’s open you’ll be glad you have the safety lock. This is one sharp knife. I thought the knife was a little pricy but after using it for a while, I consider the price worth it.

I initially found this model knife in Walmart but did not buy it because they did not carry the serrated version. I was excited to find the serrated model on Amazon. I must say that this has to be the ultimate, everyday use knife!!! It is extremely light for its size being made out of the anodized aluminum and because its skeleton design minimizes the amount of metal on the handle. The design is perfectly tailored for the fastest possible retrieval from the pocket and opening the blade. The belt/pocket clip is attached upside down from the standard position so you can be holding in the cutting position once its out. The safety and the assisted opening mechanism are on top of each other so you can release the safety and immediately following, open the blade. This was an extremely well thought-out design.
This knife is incredibly well made – its tight, smooth, quick, durable, sleek, light, and surprisingly ergonomic. The anodized aluminum is basically scratch resistant.
In conclusion, this knife is hands down, the best folding blade knife I have come across – and I have dozens in my knife collection. The Buck Rush will stay on me at all times.

I needed a little less intimidating knife for work, opening boxes and general use. i am a big fan of benchmade but they are sometimes hard to find and very pricey. This knife is nice and looks good, i wouldn’t suggest letting other see you use the assisted opening since it opens with a flip of the safety and a light touch to the portion of the blade that is exposed on the back strap. Be careful with this one and you will enjoy it.
