5 Stars. I don’t have much to say as the knife speaks for itself. I dare to say that no one will be unhappy with this knife as it is simply a great value.
The knife comes razor sharp. The sharpest knife I ever gotten as it comes from the factory. It’s a super lightweight knife for its size and with a beautiful shape. I have the foliage green with Kraton handle and plastic sheath.
You can feel the quality in the construction and materials from the tip of the blade until the handle and the sheath. It just gives you good vibes, great balance, strength, and high quality for what you pay.
The sheath is It is self locking and it lets the knife slide in and out smoothly as there is enough space. When the knife gets locked there is no movement or wobble at all. There is a plastic buckle on the sheath belt loop that I haven’t found a practical use for it.
It chops well, slices like a champ and pierce furiously. Whether to use it for combat, survival, bushcrafting, or camping it is an excellent knife!

What else can I say? Although this knife is made of newer materials it’s still a KABar, it’s not meant to be pretty, it’s not desigend to sit on a shelf, it’s purpose in life is function. It does this function well and face it, there is a reason this knife design has survived many years without being tossed asside or totally reworked like other military knives. it works. period..

This knive is awesome. The Kabar name has alot of tradition and quality behind it. I like the fact its built in Olean NY. Hard to find an American product these days. The knive has a great feel to it. I haven’t had a chance to put it to use yet but seems sturdy. The plastic scabbard is great and fits well on my pistol belt. Overall I’m very happy with the knife. You can’t beat the price! My only complaint is the factory edge isn’t very sharp.

i had a similar military knife for years that i took everywhere it was my right hand man i had it for years it was falling apart but i still figured it was better than any new knife out there that is until i lost it on a camping trip in a foot of snow. i bought this knife knowing its quality but could it really match up to my old one? yes it can does and probably will continue to! its solid built comfy grip and tough as nails. love this knife and love knowing if i ever lose this one (cause it wont break) i know exactly where to get a new one!
