We have 4-5 of these in the camp. Very nice knifes, still sharp after a year.

After reading the great reviews on Amazon, I decided to give this knife a shot. The knife I received has a different blade than the knife pictured. The knife I received has a slight curve. The pointed end of the blade is positioned lower than the portion of the blade closer to the handle. This makes it very hard to sharpen for a novice sharpener like myself. The knife sharpener included is very mediocre. The black spots on the sharpener that you see in the picture are actually bits of plastic poking through from the base. They’re there to help hold the actual sharpening part in place, but it still got in my way. From what I said just then, the knife would have gotten 1 star, but there are some good qualities about it! The sheath is nice! There are two places you can put the bindings to tie it to your leg. One place at the top (which is also a belt loop) and two plastic holes at the bottom. It’s nice to put para cord through the bottom loops and tie them around your thigh so it doesn’t flop around while running or walking. If you wish to wear this knife as a boot knife, you may also use the belt loop to tie more para cord through, so you can position it further down your leg. The pouch on the outside of the sheath can be used to carry other things like a flint & steel. The butt of the knife can also be used as a hammer to put nails in trees if you were setting up traps, or to drive tent pegs into the ground. The tang is wrapped in a rubber handle, which prevents slipping and makes it comfortable to handle for long periods of time. Overall, this is a good value for your money.
Pros:
Durable nylon/plastic sheath.
Butt can be used as a hammer.
Comfortable handle.
It doesn’t cost much.
Cons:
Curved blade makes it difficult to sharpen for novices.
No hole for a lanyard!
Blade becomes slightly wobbly after extended use.
Comes with a bad sharpener.
Conclusion:
It’s a good knife for the money, but if you don’t mind spending another $30-$50 for a good quality knife, you should avoid this one. If you’d rather not spend the extra money, then this knife will make a decent tool.

This is a great knife, very sharp, and easy to keep sharp with the included sharpener. I am not sure that I like the handle, however, since the rubber handle is a little bit too loose to snuggly hold the metal inside, and it wiggles/rattles a little.
